about the streetleader Program
UrbanPromise trains and empowers local high school students to be the leaders and role models in their neighborhood for the children who attend our programs and out-of-school-time camps.
The StreetLeader Program trains and equips local high school students as mentors & role models for the children who attend UrbanPromise Programs & Summer Camps. UrbanPromise Los Angeles provides StreetLeaders with extensive hands-on leadership training, college preparation, faith exploration, field trips and mentoring to help them succeed inside and outside of the program.
Our ultimate hope is that StreetLeaders will see the impact their leadership can have on their community today, be empowered to pursue higher education, and return to their community to serve in meaningful careers - becoming the leaders who transform their own communities from the inside out.

To me, this year's camp was an opportunity that God gave me to leave an impact someone else's life. Back in 2021, I wouldn't have seen myself serving at a place like Urban Promise because I didn’t think it was the path I wanted to take.
